My name is Matt Henson and in March my daughters Makayla / Destiny where in Chidrens Memorial Hospital because they were in an explosion and badly burt. One day the child life specialist of the burn unit came to me and said how she and Makayla were talking one day and Mak said she liked the rockets, so she thought Mak would like to try to meet Chuck Hays. Well he was comming to the hospital to open a new Rockets play room, and this was her chance. Unfortunately, she couldn't wait to long outside of her room because she was tired from physical re-hab, so she missed the grand-opening. To make a long and painful story short, Chuck and the CEO came down to her room to meet her in person, when they showed up Makaylas eyes opened wide. And when they said she and her sister (mom and dad too lol) would be going to the Jonas Brothers concert in August, she started fighting a fight I thought she never had...It's now July and the girls can't wait...they are healing awesome...This just goes to show that there are still good people out there...THANK YOU ROCKETS FOR GIVING ME MY GIRLS BACK...Matt Henson

How about that Rocket fans!! My bro just reminded me that Los Rockettes where the only NBA team to take the LA Lakers, the newly crowned 2009 Champions, to a game seven, back in SoCal on top of that!! Denver lost the Western Conference Finals to the Lakers in a game six loss at home while Orlando got closed out in the NBA Finals at home in five games. Utah lost to LA in the 1st round in five games. All Houston did which no other team could do this play-offs was go out and earn a difficult game seven played back in Los Angeles. The Rockets also went ahead and finally broke their 12-year first round play-off curse by defeating Portland.
I'd say next season is looking up!! Time will allow us to look back with fond memories and honor the 2009 Rockets squad for their special qualities like a fierce Red Rowdy spirit, Solca like focus-n-hustle, and an intense Pride for Houston and it's many, many fans all around the world. What do u think about the Rockets taking the new champs to game 7 without Yao, T-Mac and Deke? Kobe is certainly fo real!!! |

The Houston Rockets assisted in a tree planting initiative, see the Video clip below. Players Carl Landry and Joey Dorsey helped the Rockets staff plant more than 80 trees. We all hope Carl and our Planet Earth get better as quick as possible. Big shout out to the Rockets Org, Mr. Alexander, the NBA and you too Joey for doing your part! :)
