wow, Ron Artest signs a 3 year deal for $18 million ($6 million per yr) with the LA Lakers while Trevor Ariza signs a full mid-level exception for the year with Houston at $5.6 million. once you earn around $50-$100 million in salary over your career, it's not about the money anymore, it's about a legit chance at a NBA title. Artest signed below market value for a chance to play with Kobe and win a championship...
However, Ariza is a very nice for the Rockets, he's hungry for stats, stays healthy, has a good atitude, runs the floor much better than ron-ron and with Yao out for not sure how long, the up-tempo Rockets will be moving up & down the court in fast-motion during the 2009-10 NBA season with Trevor leading and scoring big points! |

Tough to be Ron Artest right now, he is targeted by officials and that's how it rolls. We as Rocket fans learned that Ron has to be Ron but you know what, we love Ron for playing the game hard and the right way up till he went toe to toe with Kobe Bryant. Keep your focus and help lead us to a game 3 win and let's just go from there.
